Do I have to be a member of a department or section before I can work for that department or section? For example, if I want to write for your newsletter, Crockett's Spirit, must I first be a member of the Publications section?

Firstly, welcome to ESB Mr Srellus!
To answer your question - No, you don't. You can submit articles as a guest writer, however, if you wanted to feature in our newsletter on a more regular basis then you would have to join the Recreations Department.
