Rom (in the "other" category). I always looked forward to the episodes that he appeared in. He was a fun geeky character who surprised everyone who underestimated him. He was an easy character to identify with.

This is another really hard one. There are several characters I really like. I enjoyed Jadzia Dax's open spirit to try new things. I liked Jake Sisko's passion to write. But eventually it boils down to two characters that I really like, which are Julian Bashir and Ezri Dax. And it's really hard to choose between them.
But if I had to pick one it would be Bashir since he was there from the beginning. And I love how they added that dimension of him being genetically enhanced. I don't think the writers had that thought out from the beginning of the character, but somehow it fit right in and made sense. It's always interesting when character's make leaps like that.
Ezri Dax was also a really great character. I wish we had been able to see more of her. It was fun to watch her work out the confusion of so many lives of the symbiote. Something we didn't get to see as much of with Jadzia Dax.
Torn between two nemesis here: Major Kira and Gul Dukat. Gosh I miss the scenes between them! I can hardly choose one or the other. To me they come as a set.
What I enjoyed the most about Kira was her feisty nature coming from her warring past in the Bajoran Resistance. Strong character, strong beliefs, hard to crush but when she does get crushed, it hurts all the more.
Gul Dukat had such a strong personality, spellbinding charisma and deliciously twisted mind! I loved hating him!
